Status: Ready for Adoption

Lilo is a beautiful all black 6 Month Old Puppy, with a kiss of white on her chest.  She has been with us for 2 months going through training with her current fosters and is learning all her basic house commands.

Lilo is full of energy and yet a cuddle bug.  She is learning to play ball and loves to chew on her toys.  She enjoys her food and takes her treats nicely.  Lilo is crate trained, but sometimes needs a little encouragement to go in, but with a cookie she is very content.  She will let you know when she needs to go potty.  We are finding that she prefers females to males.  She loves the female resident dogs and their older male, however when a new male comes in she may take a little warming up to them and meeting them on a leash actually works better for her than off leash.  She does pretty well around the cats in the house, however, if they run she will chase because that is fun.  She has met small dogs and has been fine, but is always monitored when small dogs and cats are in the room.
She is learning to walk on a leash and knows, sit, give 5 and is learning down as well as wait at the door.  She absolutely loves to play in the water and with the hose.  She loves to jump up and catch the water.  She would be a fun dog to train in agility or another sporting event.  She has great eye focus.
Lilo would do best in an experienced dog home, because she can at times be reactive to a new dog.  Her new family would need to learn her cues and correct her quickly.  If you would like to meet her please fill out an Adoption Questionnaire and one of our Adoption Counselors will get back to you.
