Sumi was found as a stray along with a couple of other dogs. When contacted, the owners did not want to reclaim her. She is brand new to us, so learning the in's and outs of a proper home, so more to come on her behavior. We do think she is housetrained and loves people, but you have to move slow around her. Per her foster - She corrects very well and is learning. She is affectionate and responds well to corrections.
Sumi is not a fan of the crate so that is being worked on. She does sleep quietly on the floor next to the bed if she isn't in the crate. Crate training must be worked on when adopting, so as to keep your house intact, if you need to leave. Continued crate training is to be expected.
She is currently being fostered with a male GSD mix and she is learning the hierarchy of the home. Since Sumi doesn't seem to have prior housetraining, and was probably left outside alot, we are recommending a home without young children. Teenagers and up for this girl.
Sumi loves running in the yard, so a home with a yard is a must for this girl. She is great with other dogs and shows no leash reactivity while walking in neighborhood or near parks. Sumi would do well as a second dog in a home with another confident dog.
She is spayed and up to date on her shots and will be available soon.
