Kenai
Male 4.9 years Level 2.5

Kenai (Kenny) is a happy go lucky boy, who loves to play. He is about 5 months old and is working on filling out his big feet. Kenny still has lots of puppy behaviors like jumping and being mouthy. He would be best suited for a family that has German Shepherd experience. He tends to lean on the easy side, but then he has some stubborn tendencies, like not always coming when called. Kenny loves to play ball and will bring the ball back most of the time when it is just him playing, however when he is playing with his foster sisters it is more fun to chase them then to get the ball.
Kenny is pack oriented and loves hanging out with the family. He tends to countersurf if you are not watching and he likes to test the boundaries. He has enjoyed playing with all the dogs he has met, but he can be a little rough on the smaller dogs and he is starting to show some dominance. There are cats living in the foster home of different temperments, Kenny is interested in them and if one runs he will chase after them.
He has learned basic commands, walks pretty well on a leash, is crate trained and 90% housebroken. He is a healthy boy and will most likely be on the larger side and a long coat Shepherd.
We carefully choose homes for our puppies as they require owners who are home enough, and have the time, energy and patience to guide the puppy through their chewing, digging, and mouthing stages (which can last through adolescence), and who will provide regular exercise, socialization and training so the puppy will grow up to be a mannerly adult dog. All puppies bark incessantly, dig, and destroy things if they are left alone for long periods of time, and thus, need to be with owners who do not leave them alone for long hours.
We can help more dogs if we have more volunteers. If you can help in any way, please contact us.
