Odin

Odin is a sweet natured, sensitive soul who is light on his feet and quick to play.  He looks like he has some Husky in him, and with his bright eyes and alert take on the world he has a very friendly demeanor.  He definitely wants to please, and leans in close and wants to be by you.  He is extremely playful, but cautious around humans as he is unsure of what to expect.  This combination, playful/cautious, is not uncommon with rescues, as many of them have good reason to suspect the intentions of people.  He is easily startled by unexpected noises or fast movements, but is beginning to grow out of it and show more of his goofy personality.  He has been exposed to multiple people in his foster household and is doing just great meeting all the new friends!  Odin just lights up around other dogs and loves being in their company. Check out the video of him at Oakland Animal Services:   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HrFPrEcRJQsAs with any young shepherd in a new environment, things to watch out for are chewing on items that aren't toys (from his viewpoint everything is a toy) and if left unchecked, he'll mark inside the house.  It doesn't appear that he has any issues that can't be resolved by basic obedience training and confidence building.  Most likely, another dog in the household will make him feel comfortable and lead him.  He also might make a good service dog once he is comfortable with his new adopter.  He is a super sweet and happy pup that is constantly smiling with his tongue out.
